The pandemic stopped a lot of organizations from going into the schools due to the Covid-19 protocol as many students and staff members fell short-handed to outside partnerships with community organizations that provided resources in student engagement. The 2022-2023 school year brought about a course of change where the doors were reopened to nonprofits and community organization and Streetz of Gentlemen hopped on the opportunity as soon as the first phone call was made by counselors to get them back on board and in rotation.
Currently SOG is working with multiple schools in the Henry County school district starting with Stockbridge Elementary program "Guys with Ties" bringing the #EEEsUp curriculum back to the forefront where they left off. Many of our youth are faced with challenges at home that pour over into the classroom resulting in cases of misconduct and behavioral issues that prevent teachers from doing their job to the best of their abilities, however this group of young men brought change to the matters quickly working with you not only in the school but after school when it mattered the most. Co founder, Andreal Mallard said " It's an honor to be able to partner back with the schools systems and be apart of the kids life helping them to perform better and reinforce positive attributes that help them excel for the future! We glad to be back!" Streetz of Gentlemen is now serving at over 5 schools and willing to add more schools to the mission next year! We are currently seeking volunteers and resources to help us carry our mission further and thank all who support our efforts! We look forward to finishing this school year strong!
